Berea

In the Bible, there was a group of people from a town named Berea who "received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so" (Acts 17:11). Our church is named "Berea" because we too believe the Bible is God's infallible message to us. We love the Bible at Berea because only in it do we come to know Jesus Christ.

Presbyterian

The word "presbyterian" is a word found often in the Bible, and it refers to a type of church government. (Leadership by a plurality of equal leaders called elders). We are also a part of a denomination called "The Presbyterian Church in America" or P.C.A. for short. You can learn more about the P.C.A. by clicking here.

Church

We are a family at Berea, which is what the church is - the family of God. Ephesians (a book in the Bible) puts it perfectly ... "Remember at that time you were separate from Christ ... without hope ... but now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens but members of God's household / family!"
