Music Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to lead the congregation in worship through music. Our goal is to provide a genuine spiritual adoration of God through the tasteful blending of contemporary and traditional music. The members of our worship teams bring forth an array of talent skillfully offered unto our Father during the worship service preludes, songs of ascent, and offertory music. Throughout the year, two worship teams typically head the songs of ascent . During the summer months college students also join in with the songs of ascent. During the celebration of Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, soloists , duets , and vocal and instrumental ensembles also provide beautiful music. Choir members present special anthems at Easter and Christmas accompanied by talented pianists and stringed instrumentalists. The Women’s Ensemble and the Men’s Quartet provide offertory music throughout the year. With much joy, the children of Berea lift their voices in song on Palm Sunday and Christmas Eve. This year, the children’s hand-bell choir has been used extensively.
